October 15, 2026: Jasper Therapeutics (NASDAQ: JSPR) said it completed enrollment of the IgA nephropathy (IgAN) cohort in its Phase 2 basket study of vensobafusp alfa (KP104) in China. Stage 1 enrolled 18 IgAN patients across three cohorts testing an induction regimen followed by subcutaneous maintenance dosing every 2 weeks, 4 weeks, or 8 weeks (n=6 each). The company expects initial interim Stage 1 IgAN data by year-end 2026.
Jasper also announced an accelerated expansion cohort in focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), with first patients expected to be dosed in 1Q 2027.
The Phase 2 basket study is designed to assess efficacy, safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of KP104 and provide proof-of-concept across renal diseases including IgAN, complement 3 glomerulopathy (C3G), and FSGS. In IgAN, Stage 1 is intended to evaluate safety, tolerability, and initial efficacy and help select dose levels for further study.
Separately, the release notes KP104 has FDA Orphan Drug Designation for paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), and previously presented 2-year data from a separate open-label Phase 2 PNH study showed normalization of hemoglobin and reductions in LDH.
