October 6, 2026: SCYNEXIS (NASDAQ: SCYX) announced completion of a Phase 1 study of SCY-770, an oral direct AMPK activator being developed for autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). In 25 healthy participants across three cohorts, SCY-770 was well tolerated at doses higher than previously evaluated, with a safety profile consistent with prior clinical experience. The study tested a single 500 mg dose under fed and fasted conditions, plus 7-day dosing of 750 mg once daily or 500 mg twice daily versus placebo.

The trial was designed to assess safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics to support dose selection for a planned Phase 2 proof-of-concept study in ADPKD. SCYNEXIS said pharmacokinetic data from this and prior studies will inform Phase 2 dosing, and the Phase 2 study remains on track to start in Q4 2026.

SCY-770 has been evaluated in approximately 300 participants across multiple clinical trials to date and has FDA Orphan Drug Designation for ADPKD.
