May 6, 2026: InflaRx N.V. (NASDAQ: IFRX) announced a strategy shift to develop izicopan, an oral C5a receptor (C5aR) inhibitor, in ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV). The company is planning a Phase 2 program in AAV and is evaluating multiple development approaches, including a potentially expedited commercial path amid an evolving regulatory environment for the currently approved comparator, avacopan.

InflaRx also aims to generate rapid proof-of-concept data for izicopan in additional complement-mediated, life-threatening renal diseases via open-label studies in atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS), IgA nephropathy (IgAN), and C3 glomerulopathy (C3G), which it expects to begin generating clinical data next year. A pharmacokinetic bridging study in China is anticipated this year.

The company said it expects funding to support planned development (including PoC readouts in aHUS/IgAN/C3G and a Phase 2 AAV readout) and operations through 2029. A Capital Markets Day focused on izicopan in AAV and broader renal disorders is planned for summer 2026, and a strategy webcast is scheduled for May 8, 2026 (8:30 AM ET / 2:30 PM CET).

For hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), InflaRx said FDA interactions on an optimized development program are largely concluded and it sees a viable path forward, but further development is envisioned only with a partner.
