Obefazimod - (ABTECT)

September 30, 2026: Abivax SA (PARIS: FR, NASDAQ: ABVX) said seven abstracts on obefazimod (ABX464) in moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis will be presented at UEG Week 2026 in Barcelona on October 17–20, 2026.

Phase 3/clinical presentations: oral data from the 44-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled ABTECT-Maintenance trial will cover efficacy and safety overall and in subgroups with and without prior inadequate response to advanced therapies. A moderated poster will present pooled results from the 8-week Phase 3 ABTECT induction trials linking bowel urgency and nocturnal bowel movement symptom improvements with better clinical outcomes.

Phase 2/long-term follow-up: oral and moderated poster presentations will report 3-year interim analyses in UC patients completing Week 144 after dose de-escalation to 25 mg, including efficacy, persistence, and safety, with one analysis stratified by prior advanced therapy experience.

Preclinical presentations: one oral presentation will report that obefazimod increased miR-124 expression and modulated inflammation and fibrosis across preclinical models; one e-poster will report reduced inflammation-driven tumor burden in a murine colitis-associated cancer model.

Obefazimod remains in Phase 3 development for ulcerative colitis.
