September 29, 2026: Jaguar Health (NASDAQ: JAGX) family company Napo Pharmaceuticals said an abstract with preliminary results from an ongoing open-label study of crofelemer powder for oral solution in adult short bowel syndrome with intestinal failure (SBS-IF) has been accepted for presentation at the American College of Gastroenterology Annual Scientific Meeting (ACG 2026), scheduled for October 9-14, 2026, in Nashville.

Napo also said it is running a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2 trial of crofelemer in adult Type 1 SBS patients without colon-in-continuity, with results expected early in the second half of 2027.

For pediatric intestinal failure, the company referenced June 2026 data presented at the 58th ESPGHAN Meeting from ongoing studies of liquid oral crofelemer in patients with microvillus inclusion disease (MVID) and SBS-IF, reporting substantial reductions in weekly parenteral support needs and parenteral support normalized to body weight in patients treated orally for more than one year, with no significant clinical or laboratory abnormalities.

The company said it remains focused on rare-disease intestinal failure development and is targeting an NDA filing for crofelemer in MVID in mid-2027.
