Sept. 29, 2026: Gain Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: GANX) announced a poster presentation at the International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders in Seoul on October 7, 2026, featuring long-term open-label data for rexaceract (formerly GT-02287) in people with Parkinson’s disease.
Rexaceract is Gain’s lead GCase positive allosteric modulator in clinical development for Parkinson’s disease with or without a GBA1 mutation. The company said a Phase 1 study in healthy volunteers showed favorable safety and tolerability, plasma and CNS exposures in the projected therapeutic range, and target engagement via increased GCase activity at clinically relevant doses.
The drug is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1b trial in Parkinson’s disease across seven sites in Australia. The primary endpoint is safety and tolerability after three months of dosing, and an extension allows treatment for up to 12 months. The announced conference catalyst is presentation of long-term open-label Phase 1b extension data on October 7, 2026. The release also references planned future milestones including timing of Phase 1b results and commencement of a Phase 2 study, but gives no specific dates.
