August 24, 2026: Rapport Therapeutics (NASDAQ: RAPP) announced a virtual KOL event for September 22, 2026, focused on bipolar mania and its investigational drug RAP-219, with outside experts Mauricio Tohen and Gary Sachs joining management.
The event will cover the treatment limitations in bipolar mania, the mechanistic rationale for RAP-219, and the ongoing Phase 2 trial of RAP-219 in bipolar mania. Rapport said topline Phase 2 data are expected in October 2026, making that the key upcoming catalyst.
RAP-219 is described as a TARPγ8-specific AMPA receptor negative allosteric modulator being developed for bipolar mania, focal onset seizures, and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures; a long-acting injectable formulation is also in development for epilepsy. The company also said it anticipates planning activities for a potential Phase 3 trial in bipolar mania.
